The first seven days following a person¡¯s death marks is crucial in Chinese spiritual belief. During this time, the spirit is allowed to visit home to resolve unfinished business before his or her journey to heaven. Unable to be at her mother¡¯s deathbed, Malie, a daytime anchorwoman for a Taiwanese TV station, is instead visited by her mother¡¯s spirit. The constant bickering between the two of them remains unchanged even after death, and this continuous dialogue between mother and daughter slowly exerts subtle influence over Malie¡¯s daily decisions.
